Last year, Samsung successfully launched the Samsung Wallet platform and expanded its services to 21 countries: Bahrain, China, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Italy, Kazakhstan, Korea, Kuwait, Norway, Oman, Qatar, South Africa, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, Vietnam, United Arab Emirates, United Kingdom and United States.
At the moment, the company has not revealed when it will be available in Argentina. However, it is expected that with the arrival of Samsung Wallet in Brazil, it will arrive in Argentina in 2023.
Samsung’s foray into the world of cryptocurrency
Samsung’s announcement adds to the initiatives the tech giant is already promoting in crypto and Blockchain.
The South Korean company recently launched the first Hong Kong Exchange Traded Fund (ETF) linked to Bitcoin futures. This product has been managed by Samsung Asset Management, a subsidiary of the investment company Samsung, precisely through its local address.
By mid-October 2022, Samsung has launched “Knox Matrix,” a new security system based on a private Blockchain network, which will, in the words of the company, ensure “multiple devices are protected with a superior level of security.”
And as if this were not enough, at the beginning of October last year, Samsung Latam launched its own space known as “House of Sam” on the Decentrand platform, with the aim of reaching metaverse users to bring different products and activities associated with your brand.
