LONDON (VNA) – More than 50 members of the Vietnam Business Association UK (VBUK) gathered in London to share their experience of working in the European country.

VBUK President Hoang Viet Phong explained that the event aims to provide an opportunity for participants to meet, exchange ideas and obtain updates on the macroeconomic situation and useful information for their operations, especially amid the current challenges facing the British economy.

In the future, the association will coordinate with the Vietnam Trade Bureau and the Embassy in London, as well as ministries, sectors and localities, to organize trade and investment events to connect Vietnamese and British companies, thus providing more opportunities for them to expand the association. He pointed out that it will contribute to the economy of both countries.

Meanwhile, VBUK Vice President Nguyen Le Le said the association has always served as a bridge between the two countries, as well as a venue for Vietnamese businesses in the UK.

He said such meetings will be held periodically every two to three months to enhance solidarity among Vietnamese companies for common development.

In addition to business issues, participants also shared their experiences in many areas such as electricity and gas efficiency in companies and other prominent issues.

VBUK, a non-profit organisation founded in 2006, works to support Vietnamese businesses in the UK, connecting and assisting them in engaging in import and export activities and attracting capital, as well as British companies wishing to invest and cooperate with their Vietnamese counterparts. It currently has over 100 members./.
