The Speaker of the National Assembly also indicated in a statement issued in the capital that the issue was discussed in the city of Caracas “in a comprehensive manner” with the facilitation of the Kingdom of Norway.
And he specified that this second social agreement creates a practical mechanism aimed at addressing the vital needs and problems of public service, on the basis of restoring the legitimate resources and property of the Venezuelan state, which are banned today in the international financial system.
The text stressed that “this agreement expresses the advancement of our people’s right to enjoy their illegally and unfairly prohibited assets and resources, which put social needs at the center of the national dialogue table.”
He added that the rescued resources will be used to strengthen the national public health system in terms of equipment, restore infrastructure and provide supplies, vaccines and medicines for people across the country.
The statement said that they will also work to expand and strengthen the electric power service, take care of a large part of the school infrastructure, and take care of the needs arising from emergencies due to heavy rains, as well as food support programs.
The document renewed its categorical rejection of the illegal detention of Venezuelan diplomat Alex Saab in the United States, and demanded his immediate release and inclusion as a member of the Venezuelan government delegation.
He also welcomed the inclusion of human rights defender Camila Fabri de Saab in this working group.
The memorandum mentioned President Nicolás Maduro as the great architect of peace, and noted that beyond political differences, we “mighty wish” the success and happiness of this agreement in social matters for the protection of the Venezuelan people.
The text stressed that this agreement will open the doors to advancing the expanded agenda of the national dialogue, in order to achieve all its goals for the benefit of the country.
