Venezuelan Socialists Nominate Primary Candidates – Prensa Latina

Proposals will be presented on August 8 this Sunday in all popular organizations of the party, when nominations for the Great National Pole (GPP), a coalition of revolutionary forces, can also be included.

Vice President Diosdado Cabello emphasized that the elected candidates can win even in the primaries, but this does not mean that they will be the final candidates, because the PSUV will ensure space for GPP candidates and the organization reserves the right to make decisions about the leading citizens.

He stressed that the PSUV is part of this alliance and must present itself in a unified manner, as stated in the regulations for these elections, “We have made it clear in the regulations that there is an open space for allies.”

He also referred to the consultation with the party bases, and said that the difference from this year, with the previous sessions, is that it is the first time that a consultative process has taken place amid external threats and the blockade imposed on the Party. United States of America.

He stressed that gender parity is one of the other tasks being made clear to the militants and should remain a role model in other elections.

According to the regulations, the organization must propose and elect the same number of men and women, at the end of the whole process, the final candidates must have a par 50 and 50, for the so-called grand election.

For his part, the Secretary of the United Socialist Venezuelan Party, President Nicolas Maduro, urged the combatants to attend the rallies and highlighted the importance of this process which will ensure that the socialists on November 21 will have more candidates and can win more positions.
