Ciudad Mendoza. – The municipal library is facing a lack of updating of textbooks and advice in the field of medicine, since it is an area in constant progress, it is necessary to renew the bibliographical collection, informs Aníbal Payan, in charge of the Benito Juárez Library.
The Medical College of the University of Veracruzana is located in this municipality, which is why books in this field of study are in greater demand, and it is important that copies also meet the study needs of medical school students. .
For their part, the students indicated that the college has transcripts and articles that allow them to keep abreast of developments in medicine and strengthen their knowledge, even though it is often necessary to invest economic resources to access information.
Due to the high costs involved in housing, transportation, food expenses, etc., it is essential that they have access to books and other publications that allow them to enrich their knowledge without having to spend more.
Now that face-to-face activities are slowly resuming in educational centers, students are constantly turning to the library mainly to take advantage of the free internet to continue their education.
Therefore, it is necessary for the municipal authorities to update the bibliographical collection of the Benito Juárez Library.
