The new site, which was previously used to store cars and is expected to be fully operational this year, has been leased to the owner of the Port of Southampton, ABP.

DP World operates ports, terminals and logistics businesses on six continents, and operates the UK’s most advanced logistics hubs at London Gateway and Southampton. Together, they transported a record volume of cargo in the first half of the year, totaling 1.93 million TEUs.

The new driver installation is the latest investment in the UK by DP World. A new £350m fourth berth is under construction at London Gateway, which will increase capacity by a third when it opens in 2024.
