Investing.com – British shares fell at the close on Tuesday; Sector drop, pushing indices down.
At the close in London, it lost 0.30%.
Among the leading performers in the session of the day was Tui AG (LON :), which rose 4.41%, or 18.30 points, to settle at 433.30 at the close. Follow him HSBC Holdings PLC (LON :), which rose 4.17%, 17.65 points, to close at 440.40, and Experian PLC (LON :), which rose 1.90%, 52.0 points, to close at 2,796.0.
At the bottom of the index was the AVEVA Group PLC (LON :), which fell 5.43% or 212.0 points to close at 3695.0. Meanwhile, Rolls-Royce Holdings PLC (LON 🙂 reduced 4.53%, 4.88 points, and closed at 102.94, while Bunzel PLC (LON 🙂 lost 4.37% or 107.0 points to finish at 2,341.0 points.
The Reds outperformed the green numbers on the London Stock Exchange by 1,341 to 893, and the number was flat 223.
Gold futures for June delivery fell 0.09%, or 1.65, to $ 1,778.45 an ounce. Regarding other commodities, crude oil futures for June delivery rose 0.81%, or $ 0.50, to settle at $ 62.41 a barrel, while Brent crude futures for July delivery rose 0.65%, $ 0.42 a barrel.
The GBP / USD was up 0.06% to 1.3904, while EUR / GBP was down 0.06% to 0.8684.
The dollar index rose 0.16% to 90.922.
