Investing.com – British stocks closed lower on Monday; Losses in industrial metals, mining, insurance and fixed-line telecommunications pushed indices lower.
At the close in London, the Investing.com UK 100 was down 0.20%.
The best value of the session in the Investing.com UK 100 was Flutter Entertainment PLC (LON: FLTRF), which rose 4.60%, or 615.00 points, to trade at 13.00 at the close. It was followed by Tui AG (LON: TUIT), which advanced 3.84%, or 60.50 points, to close at 1.00, and Land Securities Group PLC (LON: LAND), whose value rose 3.36%, or 22.20 points, to end the session at 683.60.
To the tail of the cursor is over Glencore PLC (LON: GLEN), which fell by 3.92%, or 20.50 points, to close at 502.50. Ocado Group Meanwhile, PLC (LON: OCDO) fell 3.71%, or 20.40 points, to close at 529.80, while Anglo American PLC (LON: AAL) lost 3.65%, or 111.00 points, to close at 2.00.
The green numbers outperformed the red numbers on the London Stock Exchange by a margin of 985 to 854, with the 465 closing flat.

Gold futures for April delivery fell 0.02%, or 0.35, to $1.00 an ounce. Elsewhere in commodities, crude oil for April delivery rose 0.59%, or $0.47 a barrel, while Brent crude for May futures delivery rose 0.07%, $0.06, to $85.89 a barrel.
GBP/USD was flat by 0.11% to 1.20 while EUR/GBP was unchanged by 0.56% to 0.89.
The dollar index fell 0.20% to 104.28.
