Investing.com – British shares rose at the close on Tuesday; Gains in sectors, pushed indexes higher.
At the close in London, it was up 2.40%.
The best stock during the session was DCC plc (LON :), up 3.31% or 208.0 points, to settle at 6,482.0 at the close. It was followed by BT Group PLC (LON :), which advanced 3.06% or 5.55 points to close at 186.60, and Phoenix Holding Group PLC (LON :), which rose 2.25% or 15.40 points, to end the session at 701.40.
At the bottom of the index was Sberbank Of Russia (LON:), which fell 9.92%, or 1.35 points, to close at 12.21. NK Rosneft For its part, PAO DRC (LON 🙂 decreased by 9.13% or 0.71 points to close at 7.05, while GMK Norilskiy Nikel PAO DRC (LON 🙂 lost 5.83%, 1, 67 points, to end at 26.97.
The Reds outperformed the Greens on the London Stock Exchange by 1,392 to 570, with 442 closing flat.

Gold futures for February delivery fell 0.26%, or 4.75, to $1,811.75 an ounce. Among other commodities, crude oil futures for March delivery rose 1.37%, or 1.14, to settle at $84.44 a barrel, while Brent crude futures for March delivery rose 0.74%, or 0.64, to $87.12 a barrel.
GBP/USD fell 0.49% to 1.3578, while EUR/GBP fell 0.23% to 0.8338.
The dollar index rose 0.66% to 95.790.
