Investing.com – The UK Stock Exchange closed higher on Tuesday; Sector gains, indexes lead higher.
At the close in London, it was up 0.83%.
Best value for a session in Cannes British land PLC Corporation (LON) shares rose 4.60%, or 23.40 points, to 532.00 points at the close. This was followed by Rolls-Royce Holdings PLC (LON :), which rose 4.11%, 4.85 points, to close at 122.85, and Land Securities Group PLC (LON :), whose value rose 4.02%, or 27.30 points, to close at 705.80.
At the bottom of the index was GMK Norilskiy Nikel PAO DRC (LON :), which fell 4.32%, or 1.42 points, to close at 31.48. Meanwhile, Tui AG (LON 🙂 fell 2.00%, 8.70 points, and closed at 427.40, while Royal Dutch Shell PLC B (LON 🙂 lost 1.84%, 27, 4 points, and closed at 1,459.0.
The green numbers outperformed the red on the London Stock Exchange by 1,363 to 886, and closed 201 flat.
Shares in British Land Company PLC (LON) surged to a 52-week high, hitting 4.60% or 23.40 at 532.00.
Gold futures for April delivery rose 0.07%, or 1.15, to $ 1,730.35 an ounce. Regarding other commodities, crude oil futures for April delivery fell 1.12%, or $ 0.73, to settle at $ 64.66 a barrel, while Brent crude futures for May delivery fell 0.89%, $ 0.61, to $ 68.27 a barrel.
The GBP / USD was up 0.03% to 1.3897, while the EUR / GBP was down 0.19% to 0.8567.
The dollar index rose 0.03% to 91.862.
