ENSENADA- With the presentation of 500 works, and for three consecutive days, the Autonomous University of Baja California (UABC), Ensenada Campus, has opened its doors so that children, youth and adults learn and learn about the scientific, technological and innovative work being carried out in the Faculties of Science (FC) and Marine Sciences (FCM). ), Engineering, Architecture and Design (FIAD) and the Institute of Ocean Research (IIO).
Organized for a real-world, face-to-face audience, this edition presents 500 works, divided into: videos, posters, conferences and projects, among many other activities.
It has also been supported by a large number of undergraduate and graduate students, as well as professors and researchers from UABC, who have devoted a significant portion of their time to presenting the results and applications of their research.
In this regard, Dr. Monica Lacavex-Perumene, Vice President of the Ensenada Campus, said the exhibition is an activity that allows UABC professors and students to share part of what they do, and solutions they envision, that are in the interest of young people and children discover a way to see and know the world through science, with Contribute to the promotion and strengthening of scientific calls.
“Those who visit us can be our students of tomorrow and the people who will contribute in the future to scientific knowledge and the development of our country. On the other hand, Dr. Lus Mercedes López Acuña, Director of the School of Marine Sciences, stated that it is very encouraging for the University to see so many children and young people enthusiastically participating in this event of knowledge dissemination. “They will surely begin the chain of knowledge: remember, understand, apply, analyze, evaluate and create, as a new paradigm of education.”
It is worth noting that the Science and Technology Fair frames the celebrations of the 29th Conference on Engineering, Architecture and Design, the 39th Science Week, the 15th Open House for Marine Science and the Ocean Research Institute.
