Iraqi Prime Minister Muhammad Shia al-Sudani said that Türkiye's security and his country's security are interconnected.
The Sudanese, Yasar Guler, received the Turkish Minister of National Defense, who is visiting his country on an official visit.
The press office of the Iraqi Prime Minister announced that Al-Sudani and Guler stressed during their meeting the importance of developing relations between the two neighboring countries and cooperation in a way that contributes to the security and stability of the two countries.
Al-Sudani said, “The security of Iraq and Turkey, like the security of neighboring countries, is interconnected,” stressing the importance of these visits for greater coordination and understanding between the two countries in the field of enhancing security and stability.
The Turkish President and his accompanying delegation also received Iraqi President Abdul Latif Jamal Rashid, and then met with Interior Minister Abdul Anbar Kamel Al-Shammari.
Yasar Guler traveled to the Iraqi capital, Baghdad, yesterday to hold official talks and exchange views on bilateral and regional defense and security issues with the Iraqi Minister of Interior.
After completing his contacts in Baghdad, Guler and his accompanying delegation traveled to Erbil.
