Council Housing Blocks UK, a social housing scheme built by local authorities to provide shelter and other services such as schools and shops, has become famous as a breeding ground for various social causes over the years.
This led to two former prime ministers, David Cameron and Tony Blair, coming to the defense of the Redevelopment of these polygons stating the main reasons for their tendency to entrench povertyas well as creating an environment conducive to the flourishing of crime.
To protect Adoasi from the negative elements of urbanization, his parents encouraged his education. Adoasi did well enough at school to gain a scholarship and move to a private boarding school in the Midlands and eventually move from council ownership.
“One day a fight broke out in a rugby match between my team and another team and I heard some of my teammates insulting the other team by referring to ‘social housing’, without knowing that I grew up in social housing. It affected me a lot in my way of being, because There is always a part of me that wants to disprove the myth of the neighborhood kid who never gets anywhere in lifeAdoasi says.
At first, he was motivated simply by his need to create a life of luxury for himself away from the claws of poverty that had always gripped his childhood. His determination to succeed led him to drop out of college to create Sports Academyfrom which he earned a six-figure income at the age of 19.
“I ran it for two years until the government withdrew the funding, which meant it was no longer viable,” says Adoasi.
after that stage, I worked in London as an insurance broker and recruiter. During this time, he went back to school and finished his studies, and soon began thinking outside the confines of his nine-to-five job to find a way to make more money.
He had always been interested in watches, and by the time he was in town, Adoasi was already making enough money to refresh his taste for high-end brands, such as Patek Philippe and Audemars Piguet. That’s when the light bulb went off.
«I wanted to find a middle ground for a watch that was super high quality and aesthetically pleasing.made with quality materials but not affordable… I started talking to many factories and negotiating prices between factories until I perfected my sample collection,” says Adoasi. At 26, he quit his job and became a founder and designer. Vitae London.
“I felt that working in the city exhausted me and that I had to do something with a greater purpose, as I woke up every day and my motivation was not just money. Vitae in Latin means ‘life’.” Our motto from the beginning has been to be the watch brand that changes people’s lives.Adoasi says.
Following the launch of the brand, Vitae London was shortlisted by Richard Branson to receive a £20,000 Start-up Loan (about $25,000 today) out of 10,000 applicants. to date, Brand has raised a total of $190,000 from venture capital firms As American Backstage Capital, the total income from sales to date is around £1.3m ($1.6m).

By way of reflection, Adoasi highlights two things. “First, entrepreneurship is about creating something much bigger than you…Second, money is a great motivator, but if that’s the only reason you can get out of bed, then you have an unfulfilling life.” ».
