Paris, October 1 (Prensa Latina) The seventh day of French football concluded today with Monaco topping the same points as Stade Brestois, while defending champion Paris Saint-Germain fell to fifth place in the French First Division.

Beirut, October 1 (Prensa Latina) Professionals and fans in Lebanon today celebrated the victorious debut of local teams Beirut and Dynamo at the start of the 35th edition of the Arab Club Basketball Championship in Doha, Qatar.

The current Lebanese champion, from Beirut, defeated his Moroccan counterpart, Majd Tangier, 95-70. Meanwhile, Dynamo defeated Qatar’s Al-Ahly with a score of 93-63.

Nottingham, United Kingdom, October 1 (Prensa Latina) Argentine Nicolas Dominguez opened his scoring record in the English Premier League today, in his club Nottingham Forest’s 1-1 draw against Brentford in the seventh round.
