Santo Domingo.- The start of a series of moves calling for a 25 percent salary increase to be applied to them, by the Dominican Teachers Association (ADP), on Monday, found parents of students refused, while the two teachers’ advisors supported the teaching strike.

By calling a demand made by the union that welcomes teachers crazy, EDUCA called on teachers to reconsider before announcing the school cessation.

The intention of the professors to paralyze teaching a few days before the Easter holiday, also found the rejection of the students’ parents, who feared that their children would be late on the eve of the final exams.

While consulting teachers from Santa Teresa de Jesus Elementary School, they agreed to the demands of the teachers’ union.

With the announcement, which includes a simultaneous day of mobilization at Minerd’s regional offices to demand a 25 percent wage increase and other demands, the Arab Democratic Party announced itself in a permanent session.

According to the ADP, as part of their claims, classes will remain closed on Friday, March 25 and Wednesday, March 30.
