The University of Juarez, State of Durango, through the Faculty of Biological Sciences, has signed a cooperation agreement with the Technological Institute of Torreon, in order to establish links for academic and research cooperation between both educational entities.
The signing of the agreement was attended by the director of ITT, Jose Omar Salvar Correa, and the director of Jurasta College, Jorge Sanz Mata. After a business meeting, they read and agreed to each part of the agreement, then signed the document that would define the engagement of both institutions in building new knowledge.
Sáenz Mata stated that the main objective of the collaboration agreement is to increase institutional engagement links for collaboration in specific areas of research, as well as integration through academics, specialists and services adding to the work of both institutions.
The Director of the College of Biological Sciences expressed the importance of linking the college to all sectors of society, and in the event of signing the agreement, multidisciplinary cooperation is preferred.
Meanwhile, José Omar Salvar Correa stressed that he seeks to strengthen scientific and academic ties for the benefit of students and teachers alike. The director pointed out that “we have to join hands and strengthen this link between institutions.”
Both directors hope to abide by agreements between institutions located in the Lake District, which have an impact on training new professionals.
