San Luis Potosi, SLP. – Research Professor of the Faculty of Sciences UASLP, Dr. José Refugio Martínez Mendoza, argued that the dissemination of science is one of those involved in the general education of the population, especially with children and youth, to create early training for their development in everyday life and professional life.
From his trenches, the scientific publisher stated that he contributed to this field by designing activities, exchanging scientific knowledge with youth, children and the general population, awakening the critical spirit, and acquiring a broad vision of their reality with the integration of many disciplines. Make them look at this world critically.
He noted that in activities such as academic events, workshops, and conferences, confronting issues is explained in a simple way with deep concepts, and in a gentle, friendly way that children can understand through simple experiments, “an engaging way of seeing science as a discipline that is fun and useful for life.”
Dr. Refugio Martínez Mendoza, better known as “Flash”, added that the message of spreading science is interesting because of everything that surrounds us, primarily related to the region.
“Through the review, we have noticed that culture has given existence and life to everyday life; in the case of San Luis Potosi it is advisable to immerse ourselves in the cultural history of the population and to have illustrative reference figures, important for the training that the new generations need so much”.
