They denounce “fraud” in the admission process at the College of Medicine in Umm Al Quwain.

During the admission process for students at the Faculty of Medicine of the Autonomous University of Querétaro, the exam was leaked through an external course allegedly linked to former director Guadalupe Zaldivar Lillo de Larrea.

In a statement, the current director, Rodrigo Miguel Gonzalez, denounced the fact that 33 students received the highest score on the entrance exam after attending an external exam preparation course.

Gonzalez Sanchez said that in the said external course, the test applied for student admission could have been leaked.

“In this selection process, some violations related to the qualification of the internal examination for the Faculty of Medicine were verified… Among these violations, it was found that the internal examination for the Faculty was obtained, for one of the courses offered to prepare students, outside Umm Al Quwain,” said the Director of the Faculty of Medicine.

The institution also separated from external preparation courses for the entrance exam.

“The College of Medicine does not endorse, regulate or enter into any agreements with any of these courses that are offered externally to the College, let alone that have been identified in repeated selection processes, with links to smuggling and examination rigging internally,” he charged.

Rodrigo Miguel González also separated his administration, which began on June 15, 2024, “from the unethical actions and facts related to the previous administration, as well as the connection to these courses outside the Faculty of Medicine.”

Among the measures taken against the “fixing” of results, the Director of Medicine announced that various administrative officials “associated with the previous operation” would be dismissed and the exam would have a lower percentage “for admission to subsequent operations.”
