The United Kingdom bans the American Bully XL dog breed

British Prime Minister Rishi Sunak announced on Friday plans to ban the American Bully XL dog breed before the end of the year, after several incidents in the United Kingdom that included attacks by this animal.

“American Bully XL poses a danger to our communities, especially to children,” the conservative leader says in the recording.

After the attacks, the UK will ban the American Bully XL dog breed

“This is clearly not a bunch of poorly trained dogs, but rather a pattern of behavior and it cannot continue,” he says, referring to several known attacks in recent days.

Sunak adds: “These dogs are dangerous. I want to reassure citizens that we will take all necessary measures to ensure their safety.”

The Prime Minister said that once experts agree on how to define this dog breed, the government will propose banning it by amending the current Dangerous Dogs Act.
