LONDON, June 20 (EFE) – The British and US governments reaffirmed their long-term commitment to Ukraine’s reconstruction on Tuesday, on the eve of a conference in London to boost private sector investment in that country.
The UK Foreign Secretary, James Cleverly, and the US Secretary of State, Anthony Blinken, appeared at a press conference after holding a meeting in which they also touched on issues such as the relationship with China and the upcoming summit of the People’s Republic of China. NATO.

The British minister noted that at URC 2023, which will be attended by representatives from 60 countries, companies will have to prove that investments in Ukraine “will be effective and safe,” which will be achieved, for example, by supporting Kiev in “integration into Euro-Atlantic institutions.” .
He added that allied countries should support the Ukrainian government “in reforming its institutions” in order to facilitate investment.
Blinken confirmed that both the UK and the US would be with Kiev “for as long as necessary” and announced he would announce an aid package to the Eastern European country on Wednesday.
