Directed and reworked 4K tapes will be re-released by Peter Jackson from April 30, in a presentation program that will devote a week for each delivery until shows end on May 22, detailing a statement from the production company.
Beginning in 2001 with The Lord of the Rings: The Fellowship of the Ring, the saga will regain its space in cultural events, while a series for Amazon Studios is filmed in parallel, which will recreate thousands of years before this story and that The Hobbit.
The new production, also based on JRR Tolkien’s books, will be set in the second era of Middle Earth while JA Bayona will serve as executive producer and director for the first two semesters.
The Lord of the Rings: The Fellowship of the Ring, such as The Lord of the Rings: The Two Towers and The Return of the King, each hold a total of 17 Oscars, 11 of which correspond to the third film.
For its part, Tolkien’s texts were positioned as the favorite book of the millennium by Amazon customers in 1999 and the UK’s all-time favorite novel in The Big Read of the BBC in 2003.
