The President of Peru appreciates the support of the Community of Latin American and Caribbean States in the face of the vacancy proposal

President of the Republic of Peru, Mr. Pedro Castillo to thank Support from the Interim Presidency of the Community of Latin American and Caribbean Nations (CELAC), in connection with the vacancy proposal to be discussed by Congress in the country.

“I thank President alferdez, through PPT_CELAC, for his support and commitment to our administration so that governance prevails and respect for the popular mandate for which we were elected until 2026. Our region lives in a democracy and therefore must remain,” Castillo wrote on his Twitter account.

In a statement, the Community of Latin American and Caribbean States urged respect for the popular will that led Castillo to the presidency, and expressed concern about the institutional situation the country is going through.

Peruvian Congress agreed Discussing a vacant motion against the president on issues such as alleged corruption, the failure to appoint several ministers, and the alleged existence of a parallel authority. (RT News)
