The ongoing battle to keep users satisfied in an ever-changing technological world

The world is changing, but then again, it has always been this way ever since it first started spinning. Essentially, the only difference is that change can be felt more during certain times in history than others. With the inception of the internet, however, sweeping change in almost every industry has become exponential and these days, technological innovation has almost entirely revolutionized the life we all live in some way or other. This has, however, come at a cost to ideas or norms that paved the way before. At least, what was revolutionary a few years ago is now, in some cases, in a desperate fight to stay relevant. That’s the nature of the world we live in: if you’re not moving forward, then you are moving backward.

Here, we’ll take a look at what technology is on the up as well as who is losing their grip as industry leaders.

The strugglers

To a large degree, we can see social networking sites battling to avoid obscurity as they frantically work around the clock in order to ensure that they have a viable product in years to come. Elon Musk’s recent takeover of Twitter illustrated as much after the CEO of SpaceX admitted that the company was losing $4 million a day. The long and short of it is that profitable companies don’t lose over a billion dollars a year which means that something is going to have to give as far as the future of Twitter goes.

It is worth saying that Musk’s solution was to slash 3,700 jobs in a bid to rein expenditure in, but it’s not yet clear that this will act as a silver bullet to Twitter’s stagnation or how it will help increase subscribers given that Facebook’s owner Meta was doing the same thing only a week afterward.

The broader point is that these companies are now faced with an uncertain future and are subsequently doing everything in their power to balance the books and retain users. Now, think back to 2012 and consider that sentence. Indeed, let it sink in that these behemoth movers and shakers of our times are now undertaking mass preservation exercises.

The trailblazers

It’s not all a fight for survival in the tech industry though when you consider that on the other end of the spectrum, we’ve seen huge advances in new revolutionary software that is specifically targeted at the online casino industry. In particular, this casino software now maximizes satisfaction while boosting player acquisition and retention. Put another way, these developments have given the biggest online casino providers in the world a product that will ensure that their customers remain fulfilled which naturally means they will show brand loyalty going forward.

Needless to say, this is in stark contrast to the problem that some of the big players of Silicon Valley are now facing as they lose a significant amount of disconnected users on a daily basis. Instead, this aforementioned software has given online gambling platforms the chance to stay relevant and even gain customers who have been, typically, used to a more traditional setup.

This, in a nutshell, is the ongoing trend of our times as far as technology goes, when one company or idea heads into a tailspin, another one takes flight by brilliantly revolutionizing something else.
