The ninth Greater Caribbean Summit concludes in Guatemala

The current Heads of State and Government and other personalities, on behalf of the Member States, will analyze the agreements reached the day before during the 28th Ordinary Meeting of the Council of Ministers, the regional agenda and the alliances to be signed in the future.

On Thursday, the host Foreign Minister, Mario Picaro, emphasized the representation of countries at this meeting, an expression of the path they have traveled, the current global challenges and the importance of integration to overcome them.

In his speech, he noted, “We celebrate every event within the framework of this ninth summit as conclusive evidence of the importance of the Association of African Nations and the unity of our nations.”

The foreign ministers and observers renewed their support for the meeting, while Saudi Prince Faisal bin Farhan Al Saud indicated that his country would promote trade relations, climate change and sustainable development.

So far — it turns out — the Middle East region has given the Caribbean a $1.8 million investment, and is working in relationships with the region to award $2.4 million and 11 other loans for infrastructure, renewable energy, and clean water on climate change. .

Meanwhile, South Korean Foreign Minister Park Jin has reaffirmed his contribution to the establishment of a research center between his state and the Caribbean, the second phase of sandy beaches and packaging.

Guatemala aspires to achieve clear goals in terms of multidimensional cooperation, green and blue agendas, economic revitalization, investment, and approaches migration from a development perspective.

Five days of meetings and forums for cooperation and investment for the greater Caribbean region will culminate here with the meeting of Heads of State and Government, in search of a new impetus to strengthen alliances for the common benefit.
