The National Institute of Agricultural Sciences contributes to reducing greenhouse gas emissions – Radio Rebelde



With the implementation of adaptation and mitigation strategies on agricultural farms, a project dedicated to reducing greenhouse gas emissions in Cuba was promoted.

An initiative that will conclude after three years of achievements and collective efforts from 6 to 9 December 2023, in the province of Matanzas, with a final closing workshop, to evaluate the results and strengthen health practices in all Cuban provinces and in the municipality. Youth Island.

Maquira Lopez also highlighted the key benefits of the project in favor of increasing nutrition and quality of life, demonstrating its effectiveness in adapting and mitigating climate change in the country.

“More than 20 training procedures were developed for more than 550 people, to contribute to reducing gender equality gaps as strategic measures for adaptation and mitigation of climate change in the largest island of the Antilles,” the senior researcher added.
