The Minister of Economy and Finance, Alex Alonso Contreras, concluded his agenda in London, with a meeting attended by the UK Trade Policy Minister, Greg Hands, as well as with the Global Head of Sovereign Risk at Moody’s, Mary Deronas part of the forum “Economic and Investment Prospects for Peru 2023.”
The topics covered were in line with the Inter-Governmental Issues Action Initiative, investment in Peru, UK technical support for planning and best practices in developing infrastructure projects. In addition, the meeting also discussed negotiations on A Double taxation agreement.
The President of the Forum also met with investors, to whom he explained Peru’s commitment to maintaining a fiscally responsible policy.

These meetings come after the Minister’s participation in the annual meeting of the World Economic Forum in Davos, Switzerland, where topics were discussed about the future of growth, the financial services strategy in Latin America, sustainable solutions in Latin America, and others.
