Over six thousand top-level scholarships are available on the Segeplan website and cover areas such as education, health, medical sub-disciplines, environment, architecture, urban planning, public policy, and public administration.
Also, planning, human rights, engineering and related, information technology and rural development, economics, as well as social sciences, law, arts, science and technology, tourism and sports, among others.
According to Kela Gramago, President of Segeplan, this is a life-changing experience for young people and their families.
Participation this year will be virtual and also face-to-face with the opening of the User Service Center, located at the headquarters of the General Secretariat, in District 1 of the capital.
There are 12 compartments of interest, where Guatemalans will be able to count on specialized advice for a scholarship and follow-up will be offered to those who receive it until they start studying in some of the cooperating countries.
The official explained that applicants who access through the website will find the necessary steps to create their avatar and from there receive direct information about the various jobs, in addition to learning about the experiences of previous grant recipients.
In 2020 they served more than 15,000 users, a year later that number had grown to 61,000, and now they hope to reach over 70,000 with the benefits of the virtual format.
