The 27 will take advantage of the first day of an informal summit of EU leaders in the Czech Republic on October 6 to formalize the launch of this new European political organization, which will be attended by the leaders of the United Kingdom, Ukraine, Turkey and Norway. A European official reported that Switzerland, Iceland, Georgia, Armenia, Azerbaijan, Serbia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Albania, North Macedonia, Montenegro, Kosovo and Liechtenstein will be invited.
Only leaders will attend the meeting and the idea is that they can have an open discussion on strategic issues of common interest to the European continent. The format will consist of an opening plenary, thematic discussions on security, energy, economics and mobility, as well as bilateral meetings and dinners to conclude the plenary.
