The report said that practical procedures were carried out in the exercises at the Harpermedon training camp near the border with Afghanistan.

During the exercises, work was carried out on the preparation and implementation of combat operations by collective forces to destroy illegal armed groups in the event of an invasion of the territory of a member state of the CSTO.

And in the final exercises, the artillery group stopped the deep advance of the main forces of the “invaders”, while the aviation group of the Central Military District and the Ministry of Defense of Tajikistan ensured the counterattack of the collective rapid deployment forces.

Subsequently, special forces units carried out an operation to liberate a settlement occupied by the “invaders”.

The exercises were conducted from October 10 to 21, and their active phase began on the 17th.

Approximately 1,000 soldiers from the countries of the Central Asian region participated in the exercises, in addition to working teams from the Joint Chiefs of Staff and the Secretariat of the Collective Security Treaty Organization.

The Russian unit consisted of soldiers from the Central Military District of Military Base 201.

More than 300 units of military and special equipment, including planes, helicopters and drones, also participated.

The Collective Security Treaty Organization is an organization of a politico-military nature, established on May 15, 1991 and consisting of Armenia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Russia and Tajikistan.
