the Creole Center for Science and Technology in the Caribbean (C3Tec), on Saturday, for presenting theoretical and practical workshops for all family members, within the framework of the celebration of the “Environmental Education Month”.
The entity will educate people on various topics related to the effects of climate change, as well as details about natural resources.
“This year, we started working on environmental issues as a priority, considering environmental education as a strategy for social transformation. In doing so, we shed light on the behavior of animals and their relationship to the environment, the integration of the use of renewable energies in climate change and the increase in coastal erosion on our shores.explained Tasha Endara, CEO, C3Tec.
The program of activities started on Saturday with a workshop entitled “Meeting the Black and White Jacket”.
The second day of activities will be Thursday, January 26, when the “World Education Day” is celebrated.
Starting at 12:30 p.m., the “Impact of Climate Change and Coastal Erosion” conference will be presented. Then, at 1:30 p.m., there will be a conference on How Renewable Energies Affect Climate Change.
The initiative will end on Saturday, January 28, with a workshop entitled “Celebrate World LEGO Day” from 12:30 pm, and the screening of the documentary “Wing Over Water”.
