CIUDAD VICTORIA, Tamaulipas.- The Dean of the Autonomous University of Tamaulipas (UAT), CP Guillermo Mendoza Cavazos, chaired the 66th anniversary ceremony of the Academic Unit of Social Work and Science for Human Development (UATSCDH), within the framework of which they gave recognition to retired teachers who form an essential part of the and the growth of the Victoria campus.

At this event, Rector Guillermo Mendoza was accompanied by the Director of UATSCDH, Dr. Guillermina de la Cruz Jiménez Godinez, in the presence of the directors of the academic units, faculties and schools of the UAT, as well as officials of the University’s Cabinet. rectory.

After congratulating the academic and student community of the institution, Accountant General Mendoza Cavazos highlighted the appreciation given to the retired teachers, because, he said, they are a vital part of the sixty-six years of history and growth of that institution.

“You have lived through many experiences, and you are an essential part of what this academic unit is today; It’s his foundation in some way, and what’s there is part of that effort that you as teachers have made.

Likewise, he said the sixty-six years of history are important because of the growth of the school, whose courses, social work, psychology and nutrition, focus on developing strategies so people have better living conditions.

For her part, Dr. Guillermina de la Cruz Jiménez Godinez thanked University President Guillermo Mendoza Cavazos for his support for the growth of the institution and stressed that since its inception, the campus has maintained a firm commitment to academic excellence.

“Throughout these decades, we have left our mark in training specialists in social work, psychology and nutrition, as well as in research that contributes to the advancement of these specialties. He added that these professions are essential pillars for confronting the social, emotional and health challenges facing our society.

On behalf of the students, Carla Liliana Mendiola Ruiz noted that it is a matter of pride for young people to belong to an institution of academic quality like UAT and thanked the Rector for his support in obtaining an education relevant to the current era.

Dr. Norma Alicia Neto Reyes also sent a message, where, on behalf of the honored professors, she thanked the honor given to those who have dedicated their lives to university professorship, because, as she said, “a professor never ceases to be who he is.”
