A select group of swimmers from our area, from the Murcia Master Swimming Club, gathered at the mouth of the River Navia to take this test.
A competition in which swimmers of all ages are equal in the water, and water is the medium in which all are equal; Origin, economic level, physical differences, limitations of all kinds vanish, because water equals them all… A 66-year-old man swimming again or a 17-year-old boy who totally blows himself up in preparation for the Olympics. In this sport (as in others) the effort is clear, the difference is that at any age you can swim, it is not a harmful sport, but it improves the capacity at any age, as everyone knows the benefits of this, not mention the sculptural bodies that you see swimming like fish, and when they are Covered in black neoprene, they resemble large killer whales gliding across the sea.
But as for what we were going, this stage was fun because the championship was so close. The top three places in the Spanish Open Water Cup are discussed between the clubs of Madrid. Days you can do such exercises twice a month, but you need a coach at least 3 times a week, not only in the pool, but also in the sea, because swimming in the pool is not the same in everything in the sea.

In general, on this trip, they saw each other closely with their fellow Club de Natación Master Murcia, with competitors but above all with a love and passion for the sport, swimming. In addition, this club is made up of people from the region and people who live outside it, because they are among the best in Spain.
On the day of Navia, 14 mad Mursi submerged in the estuary of Navia swimming 7.5 km at about 15 degrees, while in our area on the same day, the rest of humanity endured 40 degrees under the sun. Throw yourself in the estuary, get ready to swim with athletes from Holland, UK or Italy, not to mention all assets, over 500 swimmers seen and a festive atmosphere, where all the buddies from the land, working as backpackers and supplies of fresh water at set times. It kept everyone in the midst of a great fight, striving to be the best open water team in our country.
