The Official College of Social Graduates of Seville It celebrated the annual process of imposing medals and decorations at the Cuarto del Admiral of the Real Alcazar. These distinctions recognize the professional career and affiliation with this company for 15, 25, and 35 years. this year 79 members were recognized, of which 21 won the gold medal, 26 the silver medal, and 32 the bronze medal.. In addition, the Order of Academic Honors in the Gold category was awarded to the Dean of the Faculty of Business Sciences of the University of Seville, Alejandro Diaz Moreno.

In his speech, the President of the College, José Ramón Barrera, highlighted “the importance of these awards because they recognize the work of our colleagues in their professional practice. They are the true legacy of our professional association.” He thanked that “for another year, the City Council of Seville has granted us this incomparable place which is the true Alcazar and which gives this work the seriousness it deserves”. She also pointed out “the importance of cooperation with administrations that must be mutual, permanent, lasting, agile and real, and ensure the service of citizens.”
Cooperation with the university
The President has highlighted the importance of training and the close cooperation that must exist with universities “which represent a gateway to professional practice. An example of this cooperation is the appointment of the Dean of the Faculty of Business Sciences of the University of Seville as the Faculty of Honor in its Gold category.”
Finally, Barrera reminded “all colleagues who are no longer here, always keeping in mind that we are guarantors of our motto, which is social justice”. “As social graduates, tolerance associated with mutual respect should be the guide and driver of the complex world of work relations and society in general.”
Working during a pandemic
For her part, Clara Isabel Macías stated in her speech that “I am honored to represent the City Council of Seville in an act of these characteristics and that the social graduates can count on the Conestre for everything they need to do their work”. The deputy mayor concluded, “The work of social graduates during the pandemic is commendable, which shows that we are an essential profession working in many fields in the service of society.”
In his speech, the Dean of the Faculty of Action Sciences of the University of Seville, Alejandro Diaz, highlighted the “importance of close cooperation between the Faculty and the School, which is based on trust and joint action towards the same end”.
