Simmons talks about trilateral cooperation between Ukraine, UK and Poland

The triangular form of cooperation between Ukraine, the United Kingdom and Poland is currently focused on defense, security and military cooperation. Diplomatic and political cooperation is also possible in the future.

This was stated by the British Ambassador to Ukraine, Melinda Simmons, in an interview with Suspilne, Ukrinform reports.

“We are working on what to do next (the tripartite form of cooperation, ed.). We are currently focusing on defense, security and military cooperation. In my opinion, in the future we can develop different types of diplomatic and political cooperation, through which the tripartite cooperation can strengthen Relationships. But now we are all focused on confronting the invasion.”

He also denied a report in an Italian newspaper that British Prime Minister Boris Johnson had offered the Ukrainian president a new union as an alternative to the European Union.

“This is inaccurate information,” the British ambassador said.

It was reported that Ukraine, Britain and Poland launched a new trilateral cooperation coordination on February 17 to respond to European security threats and boost economic cooperation between the two countries.
