The call received 397 applications. As a result of the evaluation process, forty-five teachers and students were pre-selected and moved to the personal interview stage. Once the evaluation process is completed, the committee selects ten fellows and five alternates.
The selected teachers are graduate teachers (college or university) of English and students who are, in an ordinary case, teachers with at least 80% of a full career. They are from the following jurisdictions: Buenos Aires, CABA, Chaco, Córdoba, La Pampa, Mendoza, Santa Fe, and Tucumán. Scholarship holders will travel between September and October 2023 and return between May and June 2024.
Representatives of the organizations evaluated the applications based on the following criteria: background and academic performance; middle; teaching experience; professional input; social engagement; consistency and clarity in motivations and expectations upon their return to Argentina; references and endorsements; Proficiency in the English language and performance in the personal interview.
Also, the ability and interest to communicate with the various sectors of society in which he will perform his functions and to spread Argentine culture, history and customs; teaching practice in state-run institutions (non-exclusive); gender and geographic representation, as well as possibilities for reintegration and transfer of the learning gained upon their return to the Argentine Republic.
