The Magellan family attended the grandstands in the buildings of the Austral region, which allowed them to enjoy themes and phenomena related to science, technology, knowledge and innovation (CTCI).
In this sense, PAR Explora Magallanes Director Claudia Salinas expressed her appreciation for the community’s help and enthusiasm for these issues.
He noted, “The important thing is that the knowledge generated in the region is appropriated by society, and it is an essential part of the scientific and technological development of Magallanes.”
Claudia Estrada, Vice President for Research at UMAG, agreed with these words, realizing the importance of bringing these spaces closer to the community, and creating a greater relationship between these entities and the public.
Several public and private parties participated in the festival.
One of them was Aguas Magallanes, who in his pavilion showed the community the path of water, its inception, and how it is produced and wastewater treated, said Job Contreras, deputy director of operations.

For a whole week, various meetings were held in the area.
The inauguration was attended by the Minister of Science, Silvia Diaz, in Punta Arenas, which was subsequently accompanied by ongoing appointments such as “Water Circuit” or “Heritage Routes”.
The festival has particularly reached all over the region, emphasizing the “Festival of Science” held in Porvenir.
Finally, the fourth edition of this festival, carried out by PAR Explora Magallanes and implemented by UMAG, concluded yesterday.
