The research work aims to analyze and understand the impact of the absence of railways and trains on the low economy of the city of San Pedro de Jujuy. Little ancestors remember a prosperous and happy city where agents, banks and many shops were established.

Students wonder what are the main reasons that affected the economy of the region and what are the effects of the lack of rail traffic on the economic growth of our population?

Trains have historically been an essential component of economic development and communication between different societies. However, in some areas, the lack of railway infrastructure or the cancellation of some of it has already deteriorated economic growth and local prosperity.

This project proposes to explore the causes and consequences of this situation, as well as to know its economic, social and political dimension. On the other hand, various educational strategies have been proposed, such as simulation games, discussions, educational outings, and others.

“Our goal is to know the local history, to assess the impact of the lack of trains on the economic development of the region, including indicators such as employment, industrial production and local trade. We choose social sciences as the focus of our work. From the knowledge to be developed, we think and ask ourselves questions about reality, it is promoted of a school environment of respect and participation in the social construction of school knowledge,” the project states.
