Russia condemns NATO exercises
Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov said at a press conference in Moscow that the United States is only using the North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO) to maintain its influence over member states.
Moscow, Russia. – Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov told a press conference in Moscow that the United States is only using the North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO) to maintain its influence over member states.
The Russian official pointed out that the White House announced that it would not have a response to the legal security proposals put forward by Moscow as long as NATO did not conduct its own dialogue on the matter with Russia.
Lavrov noted that Washington only needs NATO as a tool to impose itself as the leader of the West, to keep it all aligned with its policies and schemes.
The Foreign Secretary commented that the creation of the Aukus Security Association between Australia, the United Kingdom and the United States and the attacks on the Nord Stream 2 gas pipeline show how much Washington considers the interests of its allies.
