MOSCOW, AUGUST 15 – Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov said today at the 11th International Security Conference that Russia appreciates the efforts of the southern countries to help resolve the Ukraine crisis.
Speaking at the plenary session of the meeting, the head of Russian diplomacy said, “We appreciate the sincere interest of China, Brazil, South Africa, Egypt, India and other countries in the global south to help find fair and realistic ways to resolve.” taking place in Moscow, highlighted the Bervi channel.
The diplomat added that it is important that the proposals in this regard be based on a clear understanding of the causes and nature of the current situation as a result of the violation of the principle of the indivisibility of Western security.
Lavrov stressed that Kiev and its Western partners are trying to “encourage other countries to support the so-called peace formula of Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky,” which sets a deadline for returning to the borders that existed in 1991.
“I would like to remind all those who are trying to get involved in this game that Kiev has openly stated that it seeks to destroy everything Russian in the territories that it cannot control now, and this is what it means to return the 1991 borders to these people,” the diplomat said.
