Relations between China and Arab countries are at their best period in history

The Foreign Minister made this assessment at the conclusion of the tenth ministerial meeting of the China-Arab Cooperation Forum, which he co-chaired with his Mauritanian counterpart Mohamed Salem Ould Marzouk.

In order to properly implement the consensus reached by the heads of state of China and the Arab countries at their first summit held in 2022, as well as the outcomes of this meeting, it is necessary for the two parties to focus on four important tasks. He said.

He pointed out that the first of these tasks is to improve mutual strategic trust and strongly support each other’s basic interests. It is also necessary to deepen practical cooperation and enhance mutual benefits at a higher level.

The third task is to enhance international coordination and work together to maintain the correct direction of global governance, and the fourth and final task is to strengthen the construction of the forum and open bright horizons for the community of China and Arab countries with a common future. He confirmed.

According to the participants in the meeting held the previous day, the Arab countries and China share principles and ideas and have presented joint proposals. They expressed their appreciation that mutual respect, sincere friendship and mutually beneficial cooperation are the pillars of relations between the two parties.

As a result of the ministerial meeting, the Beijing Declaration, the Framework Implementation Plan for the years 2024-2026, and a joint declaration between China and the Arab countries on the Palestinian issue were issued.

On the other hand, the host country also signed a series of bilateral and multilateral cooperation documents with the participating countries and with the General Secretariat of the League of Arab States.
