Sucre, March 2 (RHC) Bolivian Deputy Minister of Communication Gabriela Alcón confirmed on Friday that reports of an alleged diversion of public funds for campaigns in the media and outlaw networks seek to misinform and impose hate speech in the country.

“I would also like to reiterate that all the contracts we have with the state, private and community media and social networks for the dissemination of the administration are public and transparent contracts (…) and are in the government contracting system (Sicoes),” he stated at a press conference from Casa Grande del Pueblo (headquarters the government).

Alcón “categorically denied” this Thursday the use of state resources for purposes unrelated to his vice-president’s institutional powers, and warned that this narrative is in line with the extreme opposition of the Bolivian right.

Without naming names, he insisted that politics cannot be practiced through arguments without evidence and aggressiveness.

“Today Bolivia wants peace and tranquility, that we continue to promote economic and productive reconstruction and that we continue on the path of economic growth with social justice towards the bicentenary, and we have the certainty that the administration of President Luis Arce is focused on that line,” he said.

The deputy head of the region, who is attached to the presidential portfolio, expressed his regret that this position was targeted for baseless accusations.

In this context, he reaffirmed that the work he is developing is directed towards the powers entrusted to the central level of the executive power through the political constitution of the state.

Akon lamented that the political strategy of disinformation seeks to fix ideas with lies and false accusations.

And he was struck by a plan presented the day before in the press about the alleged financing of digital operations in which officials and former officials with names and surnames were accused, who, according to what he said, were defamed in what he called “political harassment”. “

“The official they refer to has not worked in the aforementioned institution for more than two years – the deputy minister explained -, and the company they refer to had contracts with the Bolivian government in the periods 2013 to 2019 and from 2019 this company does not have a single contract with the state “.

Alcon also noted that the alleged takeover of a transnational meta ad account presented is “completely false” because the indicators it shows do not match.

“It’s bad Photoshop,” the vice owner concluded. (fountain: Latin press).
