MOSCOW, Aug 30 (RHC) – Scientists from Russia’s Southern Polytechnic State University have set up a complex for astronauts to train them on how to conduct a spacewalk, the press service of the Federal Priority Program 2030 reported Tuesday.
The entity revealed to TASS news agency that the project, commissioned by the Gagarin Cosmonaut Training Center, seeks to improve quality and reduce practice time.
Similarly, the federal program explained that scientists have developed a complex of software and hardware called the Automated Training System for astronauts in technical means for access to open space.
“The development of applied arts significantly improves the quality of theoretical training of astronauts, makes the assimilation of the necessary knowledge dynamic and interesting. Now, the study of complex systems, for example, a space travel suit, is much easier ”, see the entity.
The authors of the development explain that in the training complex, the elements of the space suit and the locking system are presented in the form of 3D models.
Likewise, the technical part of the system includes operator workstations with touch screens and a trainer site, where he can create presentations or view training videos.
The specialists of the university were able to present the material in sections with interactive diagrams and each of its elements can be controlled by an astronaut, in addition, they added a system for checking the quality of learning the material with an “individual approach”.
