QinetiQ, together with Aurora Partners Atkins and BMT, has been awarded a €36 million Engineering Delivery Partner (EDP) contract to provide technical support for Future Combat Air System (FCAS) and Defence. An Equipment Delivery and Support (DE&S) team, responsible for delivering the latest combat air capabilities to UK frontline commandos.
It will be one of the main tasks of QinetiQ Support for future air combat system delivery, which will result in a new advanced combat aircraft that will replace the Typhoon starting in the mid-2030s. FCAS is one of the core capabilities that the Catalyst Delivery team has contracted as part of this broader program that also includes support for unmanned systems and development of digital engineering capabilities. Together, they will enable DE&S to deliver the necessary engineering results required by the Department of Defense to support the development of future FCAS capabilities as they are acquired and brought into service.
QinetiQ will provide a variety of support to Catalyst, using its digital engineering capabilities and extensive requirements management experience. this is It will include engineering support initially focused on the human performance, security and systems engineering disciplines until August 2025. As Catalyst software grows, EDP provides a solid platform to support emerging requirements for years to come.

The award of this contract follows another successful FCAS initial success delivered over the past two years and promises Opening up new opportunities for the QinetiQ community Fresh graduates, trainees and young employees. It will also support the introduction of new technologies and delivery approaches for the next generation of aircraft testing and evaluation.
