In order to highlight the value of ancestral medicine, preparations are underway for a “Regional Medicine Meeting” in Atlatlahucan Municipality, in collaboration with the various sectors of health and history.
This meeting takes place on 25 and 26 June and includes as activities the presentation of traditional medicine, conferences, rituals, treatments, consultations, concerts, exhibitions, concerts and workshops.
The event takes place at the Atlatlahucan House of Culture, where health sector agencies, the Ministry of Culture and the National Institute of Anthropology and History (INAH) will attend.
In this regard, the mayor, Alma Delia Reyes Linares, reported that the free event seeks to highlight the value of this ancestral activity, in order to identify the attributes of medicine that have been in use for years.
“With the intention of forming an identity that has been lost between our present generations and those of our ancestors, it is important that new generations know about this traditional medicine,” he said.
In this meeting, several municipalities of the entity were invited, which preserve the way of practicing medicine, some such as Tepoztlán, Tlayacapan, Puente de Ixtla, Yecapixtla, Ocuituco, Totolapan; In addition to others from the state of Puebla, Veracruz and Tabasco.
