The governor’s thematic agenda includes mechanisms to protect the Amazon rainforest, clean energy development, and Colombia’s proposal on a foreign debt exchange for climate action.
The summit, which will be held over two days at the Palais Brongniart in Paris, will be attended by more than a hundred world leaders.
Through six round tables, 30 special events and more than 50 parallel events, this financial summit stands out as one of the most important international events of 2023 on the economic, social and environmental levels.
President Petro, who arrived in the capital yesterday, accompanied by his advisor, Alvaro Leyva, will participate in the exchange session with sovereign wealth funds.
Also, in the round tables that will address topics such as multilateral development bank reform, new associations, external debt and special drawing rights, private sector contribution, innovative financing and vulnerability, data and transparency.
In addition, at night, at the Elysee Palace, he will attend a dinner hosted by Macron in honor of the heads of state and government participating in the summit of a new global financial pact.
