The Panamanian government, taking into account the national and international C0VID vaccination, its high efficacy and coverage, considered it “prudent and necessary to lift certain sanitary measures”.
In this sense, Decree No. 122, dated September 14, states: “It has been ordered to raise the mandatory physical distancing and capacity, established in the national territory due to the health crisis.”
In another article, he describes: “I have ordered the lifting of the COVID-19 sanitary restriction measures established for the entry of travelers into the national territory.”
In this way, Panama will no longer require QR and swabs from travelers entering the country, the Ministry of Health explained on Twitter.
But you should know that despite the abolition of health requirements to enter Panama, if you are Cuban, you will need a visa to enter that country or to stop.
The Official Digital Gazette issued on Monday, September 12, 2022, extended for another three months, the visa for transit passengers or crew, as a condition for Cuban citizens traveling through the Republic of Panama.
Travelers who hold a tourist or residence visa for the Republic of Panama, or those who have permanent residence for five years or more in third countries and return to these countries are exempt from this clause.
Added to these are those with valid residency or multiple visas, from Canada, the United States of America, the Commonwealth of Australia, the Republic of Korea, the State of Japan, the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland, the Republic of Singapore and any of the countries that make up the European Union.
