Panama and Russia for more cooperation in aviation sciences (+photos)

According to a statement issued by the Moscow Embassy in the Isthmus, as part of his intense agenda, Artemyev held meetings with the Dean of the University of Panama, Eduardo Flores; And with the Deputy Director of Business Innovation at the National Secretariat for Science, Technology and Innovation (Senacyt), Paola Franco.

In the two meetings in which the visitor was accompanied by Russian Ambassador Yevgeny Boykov, both parties were interested in training Panamanian professionals in the field of aviation.

They also called for increased academic exchange with Southwestern Russian State University, which is represented in those talks by the Director of the Center for Scientific, Technical Cooperation and Innovation with Ibero-American Countries, Nikolai Frolov.

By laying a wreath at the monument to the first Soviet cosmonaut Yuri Gagarin, located in Sinaset, Artemyev and Boykov highlighted the historical ties that unite the two peoples.

In the city of David, in the western province of Chiriqui, Artemyev also attended the opening ceremony of the 15th Latin American Olympiad in Astronomy and Space Sciences, an event organized by the Center for Innovation in Space Sciences in Panama.

One of the emotional moments of the event was when Russian cosmonauts Oleg Kononenko, Nikolai Chub and Konstantin Borisov addressed the participants with words of welcome from the International Space Station and stressed the importance of cooperation in space exploration.

Artemyev also held an emotional and warm meeting with diplomats and members of the Russian community in Panama in which he recounted his experiences in preparing and executing flights as well as his work on the International Space Station.
