Colombian tennis players Mariana Higuita and Camila Osorio achieved significant results in tournaments held in the United States and Turkey.
Higuita, who is part of the Antioquia Tennis League record, gave Colombia their first point in the U-16 World Cup on Turkish soil. Together with her partner Valentina Mediorial, they beat the duo of Deniz Dilek and Zeynep Erbakan in the doubles, with a 6-2, 1-6 10-5 partial.

In the singles style, the Colombians could not add good results, Valentina Mediorial beat Deniz Dilek 2-6, 4-6 and Maria Paz Ospina fell to Doro Sock with the same score.
Colombia had just lost 3-0 to the United States, and they will face Thailand on Thursday hoping to win to stay third in the group. 16 countries participate in the World Cup: Argentina, Chile and Colombia for South America. The list was supplemented by Australia, the Czech Republic, Egypt, Germany, Japan, Mexico, the Netherlands, Serbia, Spain, Thailand, Tunisia, Turkey and the United States.
