Nicaragua congratulates the new Emir of Kuwait

The text, signed by President Daniel Ortega and Vice President Rosario Murillo, highlighted: “There is no doubt that your dear brother, His Highness Sheikh Meshaal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, will be the best successor to the best predecessor.”

He added that under his leadership, Kuwait will continue the process of modernization with the philosophy of a statesman and the foundations of humanitarian principles with a vision for development, progress and social and economic well-being, and will achieve new successes in all sectors in a way that supports security, stability and peace in the region. He also reiterated the firm commitment of this Central American country to continue strengthening the bonds of brotherhood, solidarity and cooperation that unite peoples and governments.

Mishal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah took the constitutional oath yesterday before the National Assembly, succeeding Prince Nawaf Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, who died last Saturday at the age of 86.
