The Dutch authorities imposed a fine of $884,000 on Tik Tok, assuming that The social network violated the laws on the protection of personal data.

The former English commissioner for children sued TikTok in April, accusing the video platform of illegally collecting personal data from millions of children in the UK and Europe.
In May, the European Commission also launched a measure against TikTok, accusing it of using secret ads and targeting children in several member states.
